Thanks Randy Perry

I purchased the Nekotech Mach1a (233mhz 21066) because it was Fast,
had room for expansion, Cheap, and they are less than 20 minutes down the
road. Some of the other Alpha's were trying to get too much for what they
had. I also have a DEC 21064 on loan from DEC for this TV series I am working
on. This machine is also 233mhz but a quicker processor, and well over $10k
where as mine was $5k. I have expanded my system to 96megs of ram (NT is a
pig) 5 gigs of HD space, and a Acer 17" monitor, with LW 4.0 I am around $10k.
Alpha NT software is in it's early days and I have been using:
Photomorph2 from Northcoast Software (morphing & image manipulation)
Picture Publisher from Micrographix (image manip & Painting)
Lightwave
Perception (on backorder, until then I use my Amiga PAR & Flyer)
All of which are still not in full release for the Alpha.
More graphics soft to come, WinImages next week.
Buy Alpha if not for the speed then but it because it's quick.
I just saw the new DEC machine today a triple threaded 300mhz machine
(900mhz)
When you figure my Alpha is 12x faster than a Amiga 040/33, and this machine
is, well I will try LW on it next week.
